After participating in two national advisory group meetings, Dr. Jack Dillenberg focused on student activities and plans. He also met with Dr. Bruce White, faculty advisor for ASDOH’s Dominican Republic missions trips, to plan and secure future trips by following university guidelines. In addition to providing health services, these comprehensive trips include training locals to help assure sustainability of ASDOH’s presence in the Dominican Republic.
The AAPHD ASDOH student chapter invited Dr. Jack Dillenberg to share his public health career experiences. These included his work with special needs patients, managing a rural Jamaican dental clinic and consulting for the World Bank in Calcutta.
Later he met with other ATSU leaders to discuss the possibility of developing an online doctoral of dental hygiene program which would be the first of its kind in the US.
